In the middle of my searching for dinner last night, I starred at the crowd of cars parking in front of a food stall. Soon I knew it's Soto Semarang Pak To, and since I hadn't been eating soto for a while, I thought I needed to stop and try it. I was lucky that I still got a seat, some people coming after me had to wait for the seat.
1. Nasi Soto Ayam (8k) (Score 7/10) I had never been enchanted by this stall, I pass this stall everyday though. And last night, coz I was so hungry, I couldn't help but stop by. At first this soto ayam looked so appetizing, the colour was think and it has generous amount of chicken cutlet. But I have to be honest, this soto was not salty, not savoury, just not tasty for me. I was glad they have minced leek and salt on the table, they put quite flavour on the soto.
2. Gorengan (1k) (Score 6.5/10) In Solo, or some places around, when you eat nasi soto you'll always be teased by some fries or side dishes on the table. Haha, that's how we eat soto. It's almost like mandatory to eat soto with some side dishes, though you can just leave it too. Bergedel is my favourite side dish when eating soto. Too bad, bergedel here was sort of tasteless and really plain. It was a turn-off for me.
3. Sundukan (4k) (Score 8/10) Some side dishes we have for soto is nopt always fries, it's the other side dishes, sundukan, or you may call it satay. Various kind of satays. Here I had every one of them, from uritan (Chicken embrio yeay), scallop and chicken meat satay. Yeay yeay yeay finally, this was pretty good, it was savoury and sweet, surely gave more flavours to the plain soto I ate hahah.
